# FOMO Sun - Find Sun Fast

> FOMO Sun helps people escape fog and find sunny destinations within 1-4 hours of their location. Focused on Switzerland and nearby France/Germany.

## What This Service Does

FOMO Sun is an AI-powered sun escape recommender. Given a user's location and travel preferences, it returns 3-5 ranked destinations that are currently (or forecasted to be) sunny, along with travel times and simple trip plans.

## API

The primary API endpoint is:

GET /api/v1/sunny-escapes?lat={lat}&lon={lon}&max_travel_h={hours}&mode={car|train|both}
```

### Parameters
- `lat`, `lon`: Origin coordinates (default: Basel, Switzerland)
- `max_travel_h`: Maximum travel time in hours (1-4, default: 2)
- `mode`: Travel mode - car, train, or both (default: both)
- `ga`: Whether user has a Swiss GA rail pass (true/false)
- `types`: Comma-separated filter - nature, viewpoint, town, lake, family, food, mountain, thermal
- `limit`: Max results (1-10, default: 5)

### Response
Returns JSON with:
- `_meta`: Request info, attribution, data freshness
- `origin_conditions`: Current weather at origin
- `escapes[]`: Ranked destinations with sun_score (0-1), confidence, travel times, and trip plans
